Thick & Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted peanut butter
1 cup granulated sugar
¼ cup brown sugar, packed
1 large egg
½ tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
¼ cup all-purpose flour (optional, for extra texture)
Instructions:
Preheat & Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix the Dough: In a large bowl, blend the peanut butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and egg until smooth.
Incorporate Dry Ingredients: Stir in the vanilla extract, baking soda, salt, and flour (if using), mixing until a cohesive dough forms.
Shape the Cookies: Roll the dough into 1 ½-inch balls and place them about 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.
Create the Signature Look: Lightly press each dough ball with a fork in a crisscross pattern.
Bake to Perfection: Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown. The centers will remain soft but will firm up as they cool.
Cool & Enjoy: Let the cookies rest on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
