Loaded Cheesy Pocket Tacos

Loaded Cheesy Pocket Tacos are a delightful twist on traditional tacos, featuring seasoned ground beef, creamy cheese, and salsa, all enveloped in a crispy tortilla shell. Here's a unique take on this mouthwatering recipe:

Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef

1 packet taco seasoning

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

½ cup salsa

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

12 small flour tortillas

2 tablespoons melted butter

Optional toppings: sour cream, diced tomatoes, chopped green onions, sliced black olives

Instructions:

Prepare the Filling:

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.

Stir in the taco seasoning according to the package instructions. Allow the mixture to simmer for a few minutes to blend the flavors.

In a separate bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and salsa until smooth.

Assemble the Pockets:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Lay out the flour tortillas on a clean surface. Spread a spoonful of the cream cheese and salsa mixture onto the center of each tortilla.

Add a portion of the seasoned ground beef on top of the cream cheese mixture, then sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.

Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then fold the bottom and top to create a sealed pocket. Place each pocket seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake:

Brush the tops of the pockets with melted butter to enhance browning.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the tortillas are golden and crispy.

Serve:

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Garnish with your choice of toppings, such as sour cream, diced tomatoes, chopped green onions, or sliced black olives.

These Loaded Cheesy Pocket Tacos are perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a fun gathering with friends. Enjoy the blend of creamy, cheesy, and savory flavors in every bite!
