When I was married 33 years ago and came to my in-laws house, my mother-in-law used to cook plain simple rice to eat with any kind of Dal, Kala Chana Soup or Sabji by boiling it in water, because she thought that by cooking the rice this way, they become more soft and tasty. I think so many people make the rice in more water and when the rice are cooked, then this water is usually thrown away.

  1. Boil some rice with extra water and strain it when they are cooked. Cook rice until the rice gets smooth or wholly dissolved into the water gives out starch

  2. Take two table spoons of rice(try to take organic rice) and rinse the rice 2-3 times to wash off any impurities.
  3. Now place a saucepan on flame and pour one cup water in it(Water should be six to 7 times extra than the rice.
  4. Add rice and boil until it is smooth yet mushy with starchy water visible on the surface.
  5. Strain the rice and collect the starchy rice water.

Needed Ingredients

  • One tablespoon rice flour
  • One tablespoon Raw Unpasteurized honey
  • One tablespoon raw milk
  • One tablespoon oats flour
How to Prepare Mask?
  • Take rice flour in a bowl
  • Add oats to rice flour and mix well
  • Now add honey and milk and mix everything nicely
  • Take this mixture in your hand and gently massage it on your all over face for a couple of minutes.
  • Leave it on for another 10-15 minutes.
  • Wash it off later and clean gently with towel

2. Rice Flour, Rose Water and Tea Tree Oil

The astringent properties of rose water give you firm and youthful skin. Tea tree has antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which help to soothe and cleanse your skin.

  • One tablespoon rice flour
  • Seven drops of tea tree oil
  • One tablespoon rose water

  • Take the rice flour in a bowl

  • Wash it off using lukewarm water

  • Two tablespoon rice flour
  • Two tablespoon honey
  • Two tablespoon gram flour
How to Use?
  • Take rice flour in a bowl
  • Add gram flour to this and stir well
  • Now add honey to this and mix well to get a paste
  • Cleanse your face and dry gently with the towel
  • Apply the mixture to your face
  • Leave it on for 10-25 minutes
  • Wash it off later using lukewarm water
