How to use Ragi?
Ragi can be used as a whole or Ragi flour. I bought flour also, when I started for my husband. But I prefered to use as Ragi whole, which is not only easy to use, but also due to its pure form, one can get more health benefits by eating it as a whole.
Ragi is a good source of minerals such as Calcium, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin and Riboflavin. In fact, Ragi is a great source of calcium compared to brown rice, corn and wheat.
We can make Ragi Malt or Ragi kanji from Ragi Whole.
To make it, Soak Ragi whole for couple of hours, then wash in running water and blend it in Blender.
Then strain and use that Ragi milk to make Ragi Malt.

Not only Ragi, but also I use some other Millets for Khichdi; such as:-Sorghum (jowar), Pearl millet (bajra), foxtail millet (kangni), finger millet (ragi), Barnyard millet, Kodo millet, Little Millet, Proso Millet. I Buy these Millets from an Indian Grocery Store. They are not expensive, not cheap. Means Price is Okay. My husband don’t eat Roti for last 7-8 months, but eat only Khichdi twice a day(in Breakfast and Dinner) In lunch he eat a lots of Fruit Salad and twice a Day, he takes Indian Chai.
