Slow Cooker Country Style Pork Ribs
Tender, juicy, fall-apart pork ribs made easy in the slow cooker. Sweet, smoky, and savory, this comforting meal is perfect for busy weeknights, Sunday dinners, and family gatherings.
Ingredients
- 3–4 pounds country style pork ribs (bone-in or boneless)
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (optional, for glazing)
Instructions
1. Prepare the ribs
Pat the pork ribs dry with paper towels. This helps the seasoning stick and improves the final texture.
2. Season the pork
Mix together brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic, salt, and pepper. Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over all sides of the ribs.
3. Add to slow cooker
Place ribs in the slow cooker. Add apple cider vinegar to the bottom of the cooker.
4. Slow cook
Cover and cook:
- LOW: 6–8 hours
- HIGH: 3–4 hours
The ribs are ready when they are very tender and easily pull apart with a fork.
5. Add BBQ glaze (optional)
Brush ribs with BBQ sauce during the last 30 minutes of cooking for a sticky, flavorful finish.
6. Rest and serve
Let ribs rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
