Oven Baked 3-Ingredient Crescent Brie Bites
Ingredients
- 1 (8-ounce/226 g) tube refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 8 ounces (225 g) Brie cheese, cut into 16 small cubes
- ¼ cup fruit jam or preserves (raspberry, apricot, strawberry, or fig)
Optional Garnishes
- Chopped pecans or walnuts
- Fresh rosemary or thyme
- Flaky sea salt
- Hot honey (after baking)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly grease an 8x8-inch baking dish or small casserole dish.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. Cut each triangle in half if needed to make 16 pieces.
- Place one cube of Brie in the center of each piece of dough.
- Top each cube with about ½ teaspoon of jam.
- Fold the dough around the filling, pinching the seams gently to mostly enclose the cheese and jam.
- Arrange the bites snugly together in the prepared baking dish with the seam side down.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the crescent dough is puffed and deep golden brown.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving, as the cheese will be very hot.
Storage
- Refrigerator: Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Reheating
- Oven: 325°F (165°C) for 8–10 minutes, until warmed through and crisp again.
- Air fryer: 325°F (165°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Microwave: Not recommended, as the pastry becomes soft and chewy.
Tips
- Chill the Brie in the freezer for 10 minutes before cutting for cleaner cubes.
- Don't overfill with jam—about ½ teaspoon per bite is plenty.
- Pack the bites close together in the baking dish to encourage them to rise instead of spreading.
- A little cheese or jam bubbling out during baking is completely normal.
- Serve warm while the Brie is still soft and gooey.
