Ingredients:
2 pounds ground breakfast sausage
2 pounds frozen hashbrown potatoes
2 cups shredded Gouda cheese
9 large eggs
2 cups milk
1 can diced green chilies, drained
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until it’s fully browned, about 5 minutes. Remove it from the pan and set aside.
Using the same skillet, sauté the hashbrowns for approximately 5 minutes until they begin to crisp up.
Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish, then spread the cooked hashbrowns evenly across the bottom.
Layer the browned sausage over the hashbrowns and sprinkle the shredded Gouda cheese on top.
Add the drained green chilies evenly across the mixture.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until fully combined.
Pour the egg mixture over the casserole contents in the baking dish.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.
