Ingredients:


1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix


3 large eggs


1 cup water


1/3 cup vegetable or canola oil


1 jar (12 oz) butterscotch sundae syrup or ice cream topping


1/2 can (7 oz) sweetened condensed milk


1 container (12 oz) whipped topping, thawed


1/2 cup toffee bits


Instructions:


Preheat & Prepare the Pan – Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with foil and lightly coat it with non-stick spray.


Make the Cake Batter – In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, water, and oil. Beat with an electric mixer on high speed for about 2 minutes until the batter is smooth.


Bake the Cake – Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 23-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.


Poke Holes in the Cake – While the cake is still warm, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke about 75 holes evenly across the surface. Make sure the holes go deep enough for the filling to soak in.


Add the Butterscotch Mixture – In a bowl, whisk together the butterscotch syrup and sweetened condensed milk. Slowly pour the mixture over the cake, making sure it fills the holes. Use a spatula to spread it evenly if needed.
